Please follow these check-out procedures at both the 1891 Schoolhouse Inn and Helmsburg Homestead to help ensure a smooth transition for the next guest—and to avoid additional cleaning fees. These simple steps help maintain the comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere that every guest deserves while enjoying their Brown County vacation rental.

• Report any damage before departure.
• Leave the house in the same condition as upon arrival.
• Return all furniture to its original placement.
• Strip beds and place linens together.
• Place all used towels in the laundry bin.
• Wash dishes or start the dishwasher.
• Remove all food and drinks.
• Set thermostat: OFF (cooling season) / 55°F (heating season).
• Turn off lights and close windows.
• Collect and dispose of all trash and cigarette butts.
• Lock all doors upon departure.
